Playstation

Playstation is in fact a sport as there is no fortune
involved; merely cold hard logic. Brain against brain;
Wit against wit; the fate of the game is entirely
in your hands. It is hard to say what the rules are as
there are many different schools of thought on this
issue, and modern philosophers prefer to leave the
details, not to mention the principles undefined,
asserting they define themselves and must be allowed
to evolve. However it is possible to give you a few
general clues to get you started.

1) Nothing is certain.

2) The game requires a whole number of players.
We advise at least four.

3) Each player must assume a symbol. The Classical
school maintain it must be a circle, square, cross, or
triangle. However more modern players have general
developed their own symbols.

4) The game is to be played on a large grid. (in order
to save travelling time we suggest less than 1km
square) Some insist on an A4 page.

5) The players usually take turns to draw their symbols
in a square. Probably with the aim of creating a
line and preventing the opposition doing so.

6) The line can go in any direction (2 dimensions
advised, although 4 dimensional play is more
interesting) and should be of a predetermined length.
eg. 7 boxes long.

After this point the schools of thought divide and
rules 7-13 are those adopted by the forum.

8) There must be no rule "7"

9) Once a line has been made all the boxes within that
line and those of any neighbouring occupied square
are contaminated. Any symbol placed next to a
contaminated one also becomes contaminated.

10) Onions are prohibited and must not be used
except in self or selfless defence.

11) Contamination blocks may be placed. Contamination
cannot spread onto a square occupied by a block.

12) Hospitals decontaminate all squares adjacent to
themselves. These squares are no longer part of the
game.

13) A player may not bring their camel into the playing
area unless it is raining heavily.
